Professional Piano Lessons with a Proven Track Record of Excellence

Welcome to an enriching and inspiring piano learning experience. I offer private piano lessons tailored to students of all ages and skill levels, whether you are a young beginner building strong fundamentals, an adult returning to the piano after years away, or an advanced pianist refining artistry and performance skills. With over a decade of private tutoring experience, I bring a calm, structured, and encouraging approach that meets each student where they are and helps them grow with confidence.

My teaching is built around three pillars: healthy technique, musical expression, and understanding how music works. Students learn how to play with ease and control, develop clear rhythm and tone, and cultivate habits that support long-term progress. Alongside repertoire, we work on foundational musicianship such as sight-reading, ear training, and theory. These skills make learning faster, playing more satisfying, and performances more secure. Most importantly, lessons are designed to help students become independent, thoughtful musicians who know not only what to play, but how and why it sounds the way it does.

Lessons can be purely recreational, goal-oriented, or both. For students preparing for exams and formal evaluations, I provide organized, step-by-step guidance that makes expectations clear and progress measurable. I am proud that many of my students have consistently earned strong results in ABRSM and NYSSMA examinations, demonstrating both high marks and genuine musical confidence. Preparation may include scale and arpeggio technique, sight-reading strategies, aural skills, theory support, and performance coaching, all paced appropriately for the student.

For younger students, lessons are engaging and structured, with age-appropriate methods that build focus, coordination, and motivation. For teens, we balance technique and repertoire with the skills needed for school music programs, auditions, and exams. Adult students often appreciate a flexible approach that respects busy schedules while still providing clear direction and meaningful musical growth. Advanced students can expect detailed work on tone production, voicing, pedaling, phrasing, stylistic interpretation, and performance preparation.

Lessons are held in person at my home studio, which offers a focused and comfortable environment for consistent learning. For added convenience, I am also available to travel to locations within the NYC area for an additional cost, bringing professional instruction to your home when that better fits your schedule. In either setting, my goal remains the same: to provide high-quality teaching, thoughtful feedback, and a supportive space where students feel challenged, motivated, and proud of their progress.

Piano study is both a discipline and a joy. It strengthens concentration, creativity, and emotional expression, and it is a skill that can enrich a lifetime. I look forward to helping you or your child develop strong musical foundations, reach meaningful goals, and experience the satisfaction that comes from making music at the piano.
